You exist, and so does your mental health.
We are a youth-focused mental health and self-discovery initiative that walks with children and young people through healing, identity discovery, and purpose development.
We believe no young person should have to grow through silence alone.
About Us
💜 Why We Exist
Healing A Purple Heart Foundation exists to support children and young people through emotional healing, self-discovery, and purpose development. We believe no young person should have to grow through silence, confusion, or emotional pain without support.

Meet Our Founder
Anita Nwokoji
Spoken word artist · Youth advocate · Mental health voice
Miss Gospel Africa 2025 · Founder, Healing A Purple Heart Foundation
This foundation was born from a deeply personal journey through trauma and emotional darkness. Writing and poetry became her way out. What started as survival became transformation. She believes no child should suffer in silence.
"No child needs to stay in darkness. Every child deserves to be seen, heard, and understood."
Programs & Initiatives
🎨 Colors of My Heart
Emotional & Mental Discovery Program
Helping children understand and express emotions through art, colour, and storytelling. Every child deserves to know they exist — and so does their mental health.
📽 Program in Action
✨ Discover My Purple
Talent & Purpose Discovery · Ages 13–22
Every young person carries a "Purple" — their unique gifts, voice, and purpose. This program helps them discover it, develop it, and direct it toward real opportunities.
💜 Mental Health Advocacy
Beyond our core programs, we take mental health conversations directly into schools, communities, and public spaces — normalising the conversation for a new generation.
Poetry & Spoken Word
Anita's poetry is at the heart of this foundation. Through spoken word, she transforms pain into purpose and reaches young people where they are. Watch her perform.
